Dr. Shayne Piasta is a professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning at The Ohio State University and a faculty fellow at the Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy. Her research focuses on early and emergent literacy skill development and empirical validation of educational practices. Specific areas of expertise include young children’s acquisition of alphabet knowledge and the efficacy of professional development and early literacy curricula/interventions.
